Final Summary:	Firefighter Mansfield was on-duty in his fire station. He went to bed at approximately 2300hrs but failed to respond to a dispatch at 0546hrs. Firefighters found Firefighter Mansfield in his bed; he had no pulse and was not breathing. Firefighters, including paramedics, began treatment immediately, and Firefighter Mansfield was transported to the hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival. The cause of death was listed as a cardiac arrhythmia due to mitral valve prolapse.
