The Kansas Fire Marshal's Office has assumed the investigative duties after fire heavily damaged a home in Eureka on Friday.
The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office says deputies, Greenwood County EMS and Eureka Fire and Rescue personnel went to 704 North School at 7:15 am. Thankfully, nobody was inside after crews made entry to put out the fire.
The cause is unclear, but Greenwood County Sheriff Heath Samuels tells KVOE News there was extensive damage to the house.
